The Detroit Lakes boys hockey team opened the season with a victory for the first time since 2010 after a 4-1 victory over Fergus Falls Saturday, Nov. 24 at Kent Freeman Arena.

The Lakers used their depth to consistently run four lines and wear down the Otters. DL was also able to withstand a pair of bad penalty situations in the third period to take over late in the game.
